Where you situate your hot tub enclosure is very important.
Think about when you'll use it and how often. Do you want it close to the house?
Do you require privacy? Do you have a deck, and if so do you want to integrate
the two structures?
If you plan on using your spa enclosure in the winter you
should consider Summerwood's thermal doors and windows to keep the heat in and
the cold out. They save on heating costs and make your soak time more enjoyable!
Another important consideration is the foundation. You're looking at a lot of
weight and lots of splashing. A concrete pad will take care of both moisture and
weight. But there are others options depending on your site situation. See more
about spa enclosure foundations.
Most jurisdictions demand a building permit only if your spa enclosure structure is larger than 100 sq ft. So
check and make sure. This library of local permit offices may
have contact details for your local office. Find more about zoning
and permits.
Your spa enclosure plans come with instructions, listed simply in order of task. This list makes planning your
hot tub enclosure's assembly much easier... and gives you time to recruit family and friends to help!
Even if you're not handy you can do this. The easy-to-understand online video answers questions when you have them. And you can
always Ask a Summerwood Expert or find more answers at plans FAQs.
At this stage you need all the information you can get your hands on. So take some time and read through our tips and ideas, they were assembled from years of helping customers
like you get what they want.
This is a significant task and maybe you don't want to do it yourself. If so, our advice is to purchase a Summerwood spa enclosure kit.
It's far better value than contracting an architect and the kits come prefabricated to make assembly much quicker and easier.
Let's face it, sometimes the things we want are better done by someone else (or at least it's easier that way!).
