All Summerwood sheds, gazebos, cabins, studios, pool cabanas, spa enclosures and garages are covered for a period of two years for defects in materials and workmanship (excluding plans). (View our full warranty details).

Please note that the following traits are not considered defects:

• Natural characteristics of the wood such as knots, small cracks or splinters
• Expansion and contraction of lumber due to moisture
• Variations in color and grain

Conditions for Warranty Validation

Assembly: Customers are required to build their structure within two months of delivery. This is to prevent any warping or shrinkage of the materials that may result in difficulties with assembly.

In order to confirm that the installation is completed within this timeline, we require that you provide us with finished photos. You may e-mail digital photos to design@summerwood.com or mail actual prints.

Staining: All structures must be stained according to the terms described in our detailed warranty to validate your warranty. Although it is common to allow cedar to age to a silver/gray tone, unstained wood may draw moisture up from the ground resulting in swelling and splintering - particularly on our 'deluxe' cedar doors.
