So you've selected your style, size, and options - now it's time for us to start building your shed kit. All that's left is to select your kit format. We offer three formats for all our shed kits - prefab, precut or installed.
Prefab shed kits come prefabricated, which means that wall sections, roof sections all come prebuilt - requiring less time and skill to assemble. Depending on where you're located shipping costs may be slightly higher with prefab shed kits as the final package is larger then precut kits.
Precut shed kits are just that - precut. This means all the material is measured and precut, requiring all the components to be built onsite. Precut shed kits require more skill and time then prefab kits but they cost a little less for us to manufacture and shipping costs are usually lower due to the reduced footprint of the final product.
Installed shed kits are the best way to go if you are in or around the Toronto area. We'll deliver your shed kit and take care of everything - all you need to worry about is selecting your shed. One of our expert crews will come out to your home or cottage and build your shed, normally in a day or two depending on the complexity of the kit you've created.
We've gone to great lengths to create online tools to help make your shed customization process fun and easy. Our custom design center tool provides a unique way to select a style and size, add options, move things around and get a bird's eye view of what your shed will look like and what it will cost.
While we've added a ton of options to choose from, there's many options that we can provide that aren't in the online design tool. Aside from selecting the shed you like you'll have a few other loose ends to tie up. By law, all sheds over 110 square feet require a building permit. The permit process can take time, so it's important to keep this in mind when planning your project. We'd suggest this be one of the first things that you enquire about with your local municipality. So you've selected your shed, obtained your permits, built the foundation, the shed's been delivered and you're ready to start building, what are your options? Well if you're handy and have a couple friends or family members to give you a helping hand, you can build it on your own. Our shed kits are engineered to go together really easily, so you don't need to be an expert carpenter. If you're not inclined to tackle the build process on your own there are some other options. We can provide installation for customers in and around the Toronto area - even up in cottage country. All you need to do is select "Installed" as your kit format when ordering and we'll take care of everything, aside from the foundation. If you're too far from us for our crew to come out, we can help you find a trustworthy contractor in your area, or you can take care of it on your own.
